March 2004
19/03/04 - Originally Vanessa and I intended going to "Angelic" at the Pink Punters on 20/03/04, but when I realised it was Mother's Day the following day other arrangements had to be made.
So, during the week we decided to go out on the Friday night (today). Now as it happens Vanessa's daughter "M" decided she wanted to go out with her dad on the Wednesday before, and she had such a good time she wanted to come out with us as well.
Vanessa called to see if this was OK with me - no problem. I'd never met M before, but I had no qualms about Vanessa's judgement on these issues.
Anyway, during the afternoon I went out to lunch with a male friend, and afterwards we went into Argos to find me a ladies watch. I settled for small round-faced one, with a black dial, gold hands and a gold surround. Because I have small wrists (most women's wrists are bigger than mine) the watch had a small thin black strap.
Early evening I changed into a long, black, suede skirt, a black top with a sort of cowl neck and sleeves that came just below the elbows. And with comfort in mind, one inch black suede court shoes.
Make-up consisted of Clinique continuous coverage SPF15 in No.7 shade, Ivory Glow; this is slightly heavier than normal foundation, which does a reasonable job of covering the darker areas of the face. Two shades of brown eye-shadow (Max Factor Shadow Duo Sandstone and Papyrus), brown mascara (Boots No.7) and Rimmel No.425 "Sun Ray" darkish brown. Still need to get that Boots No.17 "Bronze Ball" blusher, so made do with the Bourjois pink.
An hour later I was on my way to Vanessa's, and an hour and a half after that I was knocking on Vanessa's door.
Well, M is one very cool and together girl, and we hit it off immediately. Of course M looked stunning (if you've met Vanessa you won't be surprised). M sported a black polo-necked, sleeveless, lycra, short dress - when I say short read micro! The dress set-off her legs to wonderful effect, clad in Aristoc tights, the large mesh variety. And finished off with a pair of four inch black leather boots that came just above the knee.
She looked sensational, but not in a tarty way, just very classy and sexy. She could pull it off given her figure. M was going to get a lot of attention that night!
Having arrived dressed, it wasn't long before Vanessa and M were ready to go, and we decided on the Pink Punters since it's only about half an hour away.
We arrived just after 10pm and found ourselves at the bar. With me not driving it was Bacardi and Coke, with straight Cokes for the other two.
M was quick to spot an empty dance floor and after her first drink was soon entertaining the onlookers who seemed to gain confidence and drift onto the floor with her.
And I was right behind M after my second Double - dutch courage?
It was getting a little warm so we all drifted upstairs to the "Attic" where we got into conversation with the barman, Daniel, an 18 year old gay guy who also had a love of frocks, though not dressed tonight.
I'm not sure if M fancied him, but it wouldn't have done her any good, lol.
M disappeared downstairs onto the dance floor again leaving Vanessa, Daniel and me chatting in the relatively quiet surroundings.
I have to say that had I known about the Attic on previous visits I'd have spent much more time there.
But our peace was disturbed by M again who dragged us down to the dance floor again - oh the energy of youth!
02:10 saw us on our way back to Vanessa's where M made the sandwiches, and we all chatted for a while. M was the first to give in and go to bed, while Vanessa and I chatted 'til 03:30.
Vanessa thinks the world of M and it's pretty obvious M think's Vanessa is really Cool. So I reckon there'll be many more outings and I only hope I'll be able to join them as often as possible!
22/03/04 - I left a message on Vanessa's answer phone this morning asking whether she and M had gone to "Angelic" on Saturday night, what they wore and what it was like.
Vanessa hadn't got the message, but she called me anyway to fill me in. Yes, they had gone to "Angelic" and M had had another great night, this time wearing a short Khaki dress.
During the conversation I mentioned that for £100.00 Olan Mills (www.olanmills.co.uk) were doing an "Elegance" Makeover, but I wasn't sure if they catered for T-Girls.
I explained that these sessions allowed for three/four changes of clothes and a makeover, with adjustments for the different outfits.
But Vanessa has used a photographer local to her that hires a venue, but no make-up artists on hand, so it looks like we may get to do a photo-shoot together - watch this space...
