Jewellery
Jewellery is a relatively simple item for the nervous T Girl to go shopping for.
First of all, it's easy to say you're buying it as a present for your partner, and the assistant will be none the wiser.
Even if you bump into your long lost buddy, or a colleague from work, they won't think you're acting suspiciously for a moment.
Where rings are concerned, my advice would be to visit a jewellers prior to buying a ladies ring to have your finger size measured; this way you can walk into another shop, ask to see a few rings 'for your partner' and give the assistant the ring size - easy!
If it's bracelets you want then again the 'partner excuse' won't be in the slightest bit suspicious to the shop assistant.
Look out for offers on matching bracelets and earrings - they sometimes come up. Although it's a bit pointless unless you've got pierced ears!
Earrings, of course, for the T Girl who doesn't have pierced ears can be a bit tricky - not alot of choice, I'm afraid, and that's where the link at the top of this page may be able to help. Cliptomania.com have over 100 pairs to choose from and there is the convenience of ordering online.
However, if having items delivered to your door would cause a problem you could try Debenhams - I was in there a while back and they had a good range of clip-ons.
And if you hear of any good places to shop for jewellery, let me know and I'll give them a mention.
