Yes, indeed, Mary the legs - I'd forgotten her nomenclature! I'll check out their website - haven't been there in a while. Have to say I preferred the unofficial website before it all became 'official' but then I'm going back more than a decade, eek!

Hi Alex, thanks for the response. Oh you mean Mary the legs! Gosh she really does push the boundaries doesn't she and at her age too! Things there have changed much since I last went according to what I have seen on the website. Yes the NC and especially the volunteers do a very good job and provide a good service to both members and their families.
Love

Hi Shirley, it's Alex BTW, but if you've been reading my biography it's not very clear that I changed my name about a year ago. But no worries.

Indeed, we may have stumbled across each other in the village as I was still going there a fair bit between 1997 and 2004. Since then I've only made rare appearances and never to Northern Concord since I've not had need of a support group for many years. That said, they do a fantastic job for the many girls who learn to spread their wings and use them as a stepping stone towards greater confidence.

I have a lot of time and respect for NC's volunteers and I'm tipping my hat to Mary right now :)

Hi Rachel (I am assuming that is your name). I have stumbled onto your site and found your story fascinating. My name is Shirley Anne, a post-op. transsexual woman. You can read about me at www.minkyweasel.com if the fancy takes you. What you described in your story brought back loads of memories for me. I remember my visits to Northern Concord (1998-2002) before I stopped going there after my op. I am thinking our paths may have crossed when you were there too. I see from your latest posting that you are enjoying your life to the full as Rachel. I hope you continue to do so.
This may be a little cheeky of me to ask but I will ask anyway (LOL). How do you get the ads on your pages?
Anyhow I hope things go well for you in 2010 and please feel free to visit me and make comment. Love
