And You Wonder Why We Don’t Talk About It
Found this thread on a Liphook Community Forum about an article printed recently in the Daily Mail. Said article seems to have been removed.
I’m far too busy right now, and probably will be for the next week, but expect a response from me the following week. I feel that a number of issues have been missed and need airing!
COGIATI Test Results
Have to say I view these tests with an appropriate amount of scepticism and always try to answer the questions as accurately as possible. I also have my suspicions that for many the accuracy of their responses varies according to the desire to achieve a certain outcome.
Anyway, for the record, the results are as expected. Does this mean I also fell victim to inaccurate responses? All I can say is I’ve tried my best to be as honest as possible with myself .
Your COGIATI result value is: 20 Which means that you fall within the following category:
COGIATI classification THREE, ANDROGYNE
What this means is that the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory has classified your internal gender identity to be essentially androgynous, both male and female at the same time, or possibly neither. In some cultures in history, you would be considered to be a third sex, independent of the polarities of masculine or feminine. Your gender issues are intrinsic to your construction, and you will most likely find your happiness playing with expressing both genders as you feel like it.
SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTION:
Your situation is a little tricky in our current society, but not tremendously so, depending on your geographic location.
The suggestions for your circumstance are not overly complicated.
- If you have any comfortability about your gender expression, some slight degree of counseling might well prove helpful. The primary goal would be to make it possible for you to enjoy your gender expressions free from any shame or embarrassment, and to resolve any remaining questions you might have.
- As an androgynous being, both genders, and both sexes are natural to your expression. Permanent polarization in either direction might bring significant unhappiness. It is not recommended that you go through a complete transsexual transformation. You might find a partial transformation of value, if you find yourself more attracted overall to the feminine. You are more likely a transgenderist, than a transsexual. It is recommended that you recognize that your gender issues are real, but that extreme action regarding them should be viewed with great caution.
- If you have not already, consider joining any of the thousands of groups devoted to gender play of various varieties. There is literally a world of friends to discover who share your interests. There are also publications, vacations, and activities that would expand your gender play.
Thank you for using the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory.
St Valentine’s BNO (43)
I missed December’s Big Night Out (BNO) as my partner and I spent the weekend in Wales visiting friends. Hadn’t seen them in nearly a year, and it really was no contest choosing between BNO and seeing them. After all, There’s always another BNO.
OK, so finances were a bit tight at the start of the New Year, which meant skipping BNO again. Have to say I did miss not going, because I reckon to get out every month between September and April. The summer months tend to be avoided as wearing wigs, particularly in July and August can lead to meltdown, if you know what I mean. And I let the hair grow leading up to family holiday time. Daughters notice these things.
Which brings me to Feb’s do, a St. Valentine’s affair. TV Chix mentioned that it would be good if we could all make an effort to frock up in red. Ho hum, dilema. Have a red dress, but it’s the one that appears in most of the photos on my Flickrstream. Nothing for it but to hit boohoo.com where I found the perfect LRD. Ordered it and had it delivered to Vanessa’s.
To cut a long-winded story short, after much shennanagins I get shot of the family at 5.15pm and start the defuzzing process. 2 hours later I’m on the road to Vanessa’s. By 9.45pm Vanessa and I are making our way cautiously (-4C) to Pink Punters. BTW, Vanessa’s dress was a figure-hugging red dress in a sort of jersey material, picked up from a boutique with a 50% sale offer running – what shops don’t have permanent sales these days?
It was very busy, with lots of familiar faces. We bumped into Gina a had a long chat, pecked the cheek of Lyndsey Maybe, caught up with Lucinda. Said hello to Ernstine who I’d only met a couple of weeks ago at Christophers in Lincoln.
Whilst refixing face in the loos bumped into Sarah Louise who reminded me I hadn’t written to her in months. Hey, this is me “Liitle Miss Crap at Communications”. Assured her it wasn’t personal and I think she forgave me. Hope so!
Talked to Faith (or is she Leyla Moore?) outside while grabbing a cheeseburger and freezing to death. Fortunately, the roaring log fire prevented early onset of hypothermia. Faith/Leyla told me all about her adventures in the blue hole , her hopes of visiting Chernobyl and off-the-beaten-tracks of Death valley. It seems her philosophy in life is “If someone tells me not to do something, then I go and do it.” Crazy? The verdict’s out on that one. :)
And then the last person I spoke to. Nikki (not sure about the spelling) an RG from Milton Keynes who was attracted to the warmth of the blaze. Very sweet girl, whose ample chest I couldn’t help noticing, which got an even greater airing when she took off her scarf and put it round my neck in an attempt to stop me shaking (with the cold, idiot).
Unfortunately, my time was up at 2.40am when Vanessa came over to say we needed to get going. Try as I might I couldn’t keep my eyes open on the way home, and collapsed into bed at 3.45.
That was one of the best BNO’s I’ve been to. Roll on the next one. :)
Petition to Support Transgender Teacher
I don’t often get political, so may be this once you’ll forgive me!
I received the following email; please read and consider signing the petition – thanks.
Ben Thom PFC Vice President writes as follows:
Once a public body makes a mistake especially one proven in court it is
surely better that they are completely transparent and take ownership of the
wrong that was committed in this case against Natasha, by demonstrating a
due regard to process and procedural fairness. Brighton and Hove has much to
offer the LGBT community, but you cannot put the genie back in the bottle
so the best solution is to own up and come clean. PFC readers may well feel
like encouraging them by supporting the petition below:
========
A cross party petition has been set up to get Brighton & Hove City Council
to disclose the Public Interest question of how much Public Money they spent
fighting two un-winnable Employment Tribunal cases against Natasha Thoday, a
transgender teacher. She was supported by the Equalities and Human Rights
Commission in her 4-year fight to get an employment reference. If you have
not yet done so, please DO sign the petition. The link is here: -

A very BIG thank you to all of the following City Councillors who have so
far have signed it: Green Councillors: – 1. Ben Duncan; 2. Rachel Fryer; 3.
Amy Kennedy; 4. Sven Rufus; 5. Jason Kitcat; and 6. Lib Dem Paul Elgood. The
shame of the Council’s cover-up is rapidly spreading nationally and is cross
party: North Devon Green Councillor Ricky Knight; and Edinburgh Scottish
Conservative Councillor Gordon Buchan have also signed. And so has Caroline
Lucas Green Party NATIONAL Leader and MEP. Here is a link to list of all
those who have signed: -

It’s Snowing at TV Chix
It appears there’s a “White Out” at TV Chix this morning. In fairness, Stella said there’d be down time whilst more storage was added to the servers last night, 2am for about an hour. Mind you, is that 2am GMT or american time?
Anyhoos, all those addicted souls will be on cold turkey right now. :)
Have fun in the snow and drive carefully – if you have to.
