Strictly Come Dancing - Day of the Underdog

What do I know, I must be stoopid or something. All along I thought Colin and Erin totally outperformed everyone else, and in particular Darren and Lilia. I mean, Darren, lovely guy 'n all that, but he's a wooden board on the dancefloor.

By contrast, Colin moves and flows like millions of other black guys - let's face it they're born to dance, it's in their genes. But what does the great british public do? They feel sorry for the underdog, and vote with their hankies - what a collective bunch of wimps!Saturday night, the final, was a prime example of Colin's superiority (dirty word that) in the first dance, a quickstep - he was sublime. My eyes had difficulty keeping up with his footwork!Darren on the other hand adopted his usual "ironing board" style. Bless him, he has come a long way, but to award him top prize the great British public has done it again - deprived the clear winner out of the laurels.Unless, of course, I'm as stupid as I first thought and have totally misjudged the criteria for electing a winner - like I did with Gareth Gates and Will Young, as in I mistakenly thought Gareth Gates was the far better singer and Will Young just wasn't Pop Idol material. So what do I know?

Read more at www.bbc.co.uk/strictlyc... There's some video clips as well, although not the amazing Colin quickstep from the final night. A cynic would say that video just proved my point...
